RP - Weekly, November 22nd

A NOTE FROM PHIL
Bring a dish to share as we celebrate thanksgiving together as one big family this Sunday  after-service!
Good Morning RP, this week I've been so grateful for the ways that our church is showing up in various places and spaces to be representatives of Christ  - there is such a sweet fragrance of Christ when we step up to serve and be present in our community together.

Even this morning a crew of moms with kids in 'Rogers Elementary' are spending their morning celebrating and encouraging the staff and teachers! Beautiful!

A BIG THANK YOU  to everyone who contributed to the 'World Relief Clothing Drive' last Sunday - we've already been hearing stories of how grateful families have been for what they've received. Thanks Madi and Shannon for heading that up!
We're so grateful for our relationship with Sullivan High School - so much to praise God for in how they so willing open their doors to us! Every month the RP Staff spend a portion of our weekly staff meeting with the staff and teachers to share our gratitude, get to know the school more, and to share a little encouragement with Cinnamon Rolls.
One more way we were able  to be present 'outside the walls of church' this week was through the opportunity for a group of us from 'Park-RP' and 'Sabka Sahaara' to attending a Multi-Faith Retreat in Skokie with local Muslim and Jewish faith leaders. We had numerous deep and rich conversations in effort to understand and know one another better - it was a humbling and privileged space to be ambassadors of Christ.
This Sunday, we'll be continue in the Gospel of Luke looking at a passage that helps us consider what it means to remain present and expectant, even in our waiting. I'm trusting the Lord that this will be a timely message as we enter the holiday season, which can be reminder for some of us that another year has passed with our longings still having gone unfulfilled. Join us on Sunday to be reminded that the surety of our future in Christ, spurs us on in faithfulness to be present in our today!

Don't miss our 9am prayer gathering - EVERY SUNDAY at 9AM in the Library!

Much love church!

Upcoming

Serving at Park-RP

When you join a serving team, you're not just volunteering; you're becoming an integral part of our church family. It's where friendships begin, where commitment is strengthened, and where you will truly start to feel like you belong.

Giving at Park-RP

We believe that giving is an act of worship. It recognizes God as the owner and source of all we have. It is our cheerful response to God in praise of His radical generosity towards us.

Neighborhood Partners

Collaboration allows us to leverage our strengths, compensate for our weaknesses, and reach areas and demographics of our city that might otherwise remain untouched.
